General
Exclusive fifteenth century castle surrounded by a park of about 130 hectares, located a few km from Greve in Chianti in the heart of Chianti Classico. Set at the top of a hill offers a panoramic view over the Val di Greve. In its long and glorious history, many famous persons have stayed at the Castle, including Leonardo da Vinci and Francesco Redi. The rooms are decorated in elegant, classic style, with terracotta floors, wooden furniture, sofa, satellite TV, and a private bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries. The company produces famous wines rewarded several times over the years established itself as one of the best wine producers in Italy. The Vicchiomaggio Castle is built of solid stone and its hub is the high crenellated tower it preserves manor houses and boundary walls. Thanks to careful and meticulous restoration, is well-preserved and has been recognized as a national monument. Guests will have a selection of rooms (17 rooms) with areas ranging from 20 to 60 square meters: 7 rooms in the rectory which is only 30 m from the Castle and 9 in the main building of the caste. The resort has a large pool with sundeck.
