Why visit Maremma… Because it is one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, right ?!
We begin in an ironic way to write on our blog, but we won’t joke at all later, when we’ll talk of Tuscany and else!
But let’s start from the Maremma, in fact, for the few who still do not know it, is a part of territory extending from Tuscany to Lazio, characterized by an uncontaminated nature and green fields whose sight would excite anyone. Are you fond of good food, the good Tuscan wine, the sea but also the mountain and you like to take long walks by feet or by bike? Then it is the part of Tuscany that most suits you.
If you love the sea you have to visit Maremma, in these areas you will find some of the most beautiful and clean beaches of Italy, like those of Follonica, Punta Ala, Castiglione della Pescaia up to the Argentario area.
But also far from the coast you will find magical places, small and charming villages such as Manciano near the famous Terme di Saturnia, not far away, Pitigliano also known as the “little Jerusalem”, built on a hill entirely in tuff, Sovana with its very mysterious Vie Cave, the medieval Scansano where you can taste an excellent Morellino di Scansano DOCG, wine known around the world.
